Located on Eagle St, the centre is the booking office for regional and local tours, experiences and packages specialising in Longreach’s premier experiences, the award winning Kinnon and Co tours. The Longreach Travel Centre specialise in suggested itineraries, attraction passes and packages to suit your needs.
Visitors can take an exciting trip on a fully-laden Cobb and Co stage coach, eat a traditional camp oven dinner under the stars, or take a sunset cruise on the historic Thomson Belle Paddlewheeler. Back in town, the Station Store, also on Eagle St, is a treasure trove of hats, leather goods, clothing and historic nostalgia. Visitors can dress in authentic period clothes and have their photograph taken.
The adjoining air-conditioned movie theatre is the perfect place to see how life was in Australia’s early history. The Changing Station Café, which is at the back of the store, is the perfect place to fill up before heading out on a Kinnon and Co tour or to recharge after returning from a trek into the bush. Choose from billy tea, coffee, cake, damper and much more.
